  1. I read a story once about a woman who desperately wanted the love of a man; a husband if you will, someone to take care of her. She worked very hard completing her educational endeavors and on her journeys she accumulated some material holdings. She was generous and was help to a few people. Several times she attracted the attention of men, however, the men she attracted wanted to ride her coattail instead of hold her hand. This woman eventually walked away from all her material wealth believing that if she had nothing material to offer, the men who sought her attention would desire to do for her that which she had done for others – but what she couldn’t walk away from was her education. As long as God maintained her mind she would always be a commodity. Everything she walked away from she could recapture and the men knew that. What’s the moral of the story? Acceptance is the key. Accept who you are and whose you are and know that God works through people. God holds the hand of those who are called according to His purpose. Rest is the blessed assurance of the Lord. I Corinthians 15:58 states Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain. Peace
